8/25/14

Students received feedback from their journal#1  through a program called Kaizena.  It worked a little bit more than three quarters of the time for the students but saved to an older version of their Google doc.  This caused some confusion.  Students discussed through approximately 30.  They were assigned through 38 which is a bit more than usual, but I also encouraged them to stay tight to the 40-45 min mark for their HW.

8/22/14

Discussed 20 more in depth as many groups had incomplete or misconceptions of the solution.

Students finished up discussion through #25.  A few groups still need help with f(Bx)....horizontal dilation.

Students were assigned 26-30.

8/20/14 and 8/21/14

Students were put into new groups by color sticks.  Boom sticks were given the task of moderator.  Most groups found their way back to question 19 or 20.  By the end of the bell they were finished discussing 22.  A little bit of a slow day....but still very good discussions.  A few students have found their way to my desk before school for guidance in this class.

No additional problems were assigned.  Journal 1 was assigned.

Since I forgot to post 8/20/14, I will include our activities here:
Students continued discussion, short bells due to semesters and primetime and beginning of year continues to rush everyone.   Teacher discussed how the review projects would work.  There will be 5 review projects summing to the weight of one test covering review material.   Students were assigned Project 1.
